The enemy within! Keep your guard up against boring beetle and moth larvae

I was cutting off the racemes from one of my ‘garden’ orchids this morning and noticed some ‘sawdust’ on a couple of them.

On further inspection this is what I found.

At AON we are in a constant battle with these bastards!

WE use a combination of Confidor Pills(1 per large plant) and fortnightly diazonon sprays.

The buggers get into racemes, canes and any freshy part of your orchids.

They love Cymbidium and Dendrobium Racemes the most.

We also use Night blue light bug zappers to attract and kill the Diamond back moths

Thanks Keith
