Hip pip hooray, I had a holiday Day 3 Quincan Crater retreat and surrounds. Far Nth QLD

I ticked the Victoria's Riflebird off my list. So time to move on!

The next accommodation further along the tableland was the Quincan Crater Treehouse perched on the side of an old volcano.
Here is the Dawn chorus I recorded on my phone!
It was here I wanted to see the Tree kangaroo and was told this was one of the best places in Australia to see them

When you ready for some total luxury and still be sourrounded by nature this is the place. I rate it 10/10  . Just click on the link for a better look.

The tree houses are perched either on the inside or outside of the crater.

It seems FAR higher than it looks in any of the photos. The outward facing cottages has massive veiws across the tablelands, wheas the inside ones are lush, bushy and very jungly!  The ones shown below is the one we stayed in.

This resort was only 5 minutes drive from the Crater Lakes Rainforest cottages but vastly different. Brighter, airier and quite a bit more opulent.

We were greeted with rose petal at the doorway, Chocolates, port, tropical fruits and a giant breakfast platter with bacon and sausages for the outdoor BBQ.

From here as our base we started to enjoy what the Tablelands had to offer.

More tommorrow.  I wish this website had spell check!
