Great question from customer. Our fertilizer and poor quality water (Salinity)
Hi Wayne. I have bought many orchids from you and also the above fertiliser.
I am trying to work out the concentration of the finished solution better and I don't know how to factor in the ec of my town water with the desired ec of about 1.
My town water is .6 ec and is about 60 ppm alkalinity.
I am assuming that ec of .6 isn't just made up of the things that orchids like so will they be underfed if I just make up solution to 1mc.
Thank you for considering my question.
I am very happy with the orchids that I have bought from you.
They have tolerated my mistakes and inexperience and are growing well.
I even have some spikes !!

Great question. Love this one as so important!
WE use or solouble Peter (Home Brand Cal mag finisher) fert at a reading of 0.9 to 1.1 ec.
That works out a about roughly 1 heaped teaspoon per 9 litre watering can.
But what if the water you are using is salty such as Adelaides and Brisbanes?
If you water reads 0.5 ec before adding the fert then you can only use it at half strength.
Its a matter of simple math
Using our recommended amount with poor salty water WILL DAMAGE your plants
