It’s grown cold in a shadehouse that provides 40% shade (60% during December and January) and protection from the elements. Probably gets around 5 hours of full light per day.
It is growing on a mixture of natural cork and a tree fern slab. Watering frequency varies throughout the year but it is always kept moist enough for the moss to grow nicely and it gets fertilised each week with Peter’s CalMag Finisher at 0.5g per litre.
The ‘clump’ currently has thirty new growths on it and a dozen racemes with up to 13 flowers on each.
